RECESSION you in or out?

Wouldn't it be great if someone would come out and say that most of the world IS IN a recession so that players in the equity markets could put their heads back on. There's so much speculation of recession and great fear on the equity markets around the world. Unfortunately the media throw so much news around about this subject that really it becomes very much a state of mind. Have you noticed the reports are very much fear related. Banks won't lend because they fear the other bank won't be able to repay them. Consumers stop spending because they fear they will lose their jobs and so it goes.

So while there are very serious fundamental issues in the economies of the world the reality is that in Australia 96% of people are in gainful employment, even if it goes to 92% that's a majority of people with a job. So how are we going to get confidence back into marketplaces?

Not for us

By not being influenced by media. While there no suggestion it will not be difficult over the next eighteen months a positive mental attitude, application to good business principles and a diligent work ethic will ensure business survival. Past history shows that many businesses do well in tough times.

Where will you be?

Well we had a meeting after the announcement that many countries are in recession. The outcome of our meeting was that we have decided that we are not going to participate in this recession.

US Open & Doug Sanders- A bucket list trip of a lifetime

David Healy has been appointed the International Player Co-ordinator for the Doug Sanders International Junior Championship having been Tournament Director last year. The event which will be held in Houston, Texas from the 21-28 June, 2009 caters for the 24 best young players' in the world.

The event is played at leading US resort The Woodlands on the Oaks Course, former site of the Shell Houston Open and is hosted by legendary golfer Doug Sanders.

Having taken 5 couples on a bucket list trip this year packages are being developed for a limited number of keen golfers to join the excitement in 2009. Those lucky enough to be part of this year's trip were entertained and mixed with the likes of Pat Boone and country music legend Johnny Lee.
